Initially introduced to the world via an appearance on labelmate Aaron Carter's 2001 outing OH AARON, teen female quintet No Secrets further assaulted the charts with their 2002 self-titled outing. Not unlike Carter's nepotistic link via N*Sync brother Nick, No Secrets came into being when group member Carly was inspired to form a group after viewing a Christina Aguilera Christmas special. Close friend Jade and her cousin Erin were added to the mix. Angel was found via an ad and she in turn recruited her friend Jessica. With all the parts in place, the gals succeeded in helping create a mix of bubbly beats and sugar-sweet hooks. These ear-candy merchants quickly found their estrogen-charged anthem "That's What Girls Do" being used in The Powerpuff Girls Movie along with an infectious cover of Kim Wilde's "Kids In America" plucked for both that film and JIMMY NEUTRON: BOY GENIUS. Like fellow teen groups Play and Dream, No Secrets strikes a stylistic balance between perky dance gems (the percolating "Here I Am," hip-hop lite "On The Floor") and soaring ballads (heartbreakers "I'll Remember You" and "I Know What I Want").
