The Peacemakers (formerly the Refreshments) are a fiercely independent band from the southwestern U.S. who tour relentlessly and release their music online, and this charting album--their seventh--captures everything that makes their fans proud. The title can be interpreted two very different ways, and the ambiguity represents the kind of easy smarts and party-with-your-body/think-with-your-head vibe that Roger Clyne purveys in his music--rollicking country two-step, rock, shimmering reggae, and jam-band giddiness matched with sobering and reflective lyrics about the state of the (beautiful) world.
