An archivist of cool, Dimitri from Paris produces and remixes dance music with an ear for all that is shiny and retro, including 1960s exotica and jazz, '70s roller-disco and funk, and '80s New Wave and classic house. The suave DJ got his start playing and remixing records for the French radio station CFM in the mid '80s, which led to creating soundtracks for fashion shows for high-profile design houses. His slightly offbeat remixes of acts like New Order and Bjork captured the imagination of club-goers around the world, and by the 1990s his international reputation was secured. He has since released several EPs and albums, and has curated and contributed to popular dance compilations, particularly for the Yellow Productions label.
