Title Note

On his third solo effort, NEVER BETTER, acclaimed Minneapolis punk-rapper P.O.S. unleashes another barrage of loud, angst-ridden alternative hip-hop. Starting from the reverb guitar-driven album-opener, "Let It Rattle," the Doomstree representative unleashes his furious stream-of-consciousness commentary and doesn't let up over the 15 tracks that follow, brandishing an obsessive knowledge of current events and showing that he isn't above Big Lebowski references along the way. P.O.S. takes turns behind the boards with fellow Doomstree beatsmith Lazerbeak (Paper Tiger also kicks in one beat), and NEVER BETTER's production sound is as much industrial as it is hip-hop, with each track built on pounding percussion, distorted guitar fuzz, moody synth arrangements, and abrasive but melodic hooks (courtesy of guest vocalists Jason Shevchuk on "Terrorish" and Judah Nagler on "Never Better").
