Product Notes
The low-budget wonder MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 launched in 1988 with a simple premise: one man--series creator Joel Hodgson--is forced (as part of an evil scientist’s experiment) to watch the cheesiest movies ever made. Marooned in space with only his makeshift robot pals, Joel (and later, Mike Nelson) gets through the terrible flicks by making a mockery of them; during the show’s 11-year run, his brand of peanut-gallery commentary became a comic artform unto itself. This hilarious collection includes the show’s take on the B-movies THE ROBOT VS. THE AZTEC MUMMY, THE GIRLS IN LOVERS’ LANE, ZOMBIE NIGHTMARE, and RACKET GIRLS.
