Singer-songwriter Leigh Jones makes her solo debut with the impressive MUSIC IN MY SOUL, a jazzy, downtempo take on contemporary neo-soul that has some of the low-key elegance of Roberta Flack's classic 1970s albums. (Old-fashioned electric piano, one of the defining musical sounds of the 1970s, appears on most tracks here, most notably the scene-setting instrumental, "Intro.") Tracks like the gorgeous ballad "Sick Of Fools" and the bluesy, uptempo "Can't Get Enough of Your Love" (not the Barry White song) show Jones's impressive range.
