Recorded live at Yellowstone National Park, Jackson, Wyoming and DLI Studios, San Diego, California in August 2002.
Punk/popsters Unwritten Law have weathered the shuffling amongst several indie and major labels, settling in with new home, Lava Records for MUSIC IN HIGH PLACES. Almost all of the material found here was recorded live for a television show (from which the album's title is borrowed), and utilizes an unplugged vibe (the instrumentation is exclusively acoustic guitars/bass/drums). The set revisits many key cuts from 2002's ELVA, while also representing the band's 1995 debut (BLUE ROOM) with a live-in-the-studio revamping of "Shallow." The result is a stripped-down production that showcases a band with solid songs that come across as more pop and less punk in this earthy format.
