The Opera de Lyon presents a lighthearted production of Mozart's comic opera LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, based on the 1784 Beaumarchais play, LA FOLLE JOURNEE, OU LE MARRIAGE DE FIGARO. Directed by Jean-Pierre Vincent and conducted by Paolo Olmi, this production features an international cast, starring Giovanni Furlanetto as Figaro, and successfully translates the play's theatrical conventions, including timing and body language, into operatic form.
