International surfing star Donavon Frankenreiter recorded his debut release under the guidance of his friend and fellow surfer Jack Johnson. His second album finds the genial surfer striking out on his own while keeping his laid-back attitude, exuding good vibes on a home-spun set of loose, R&B flavored songs that includes the vintage-sounding title track and the Little Feat-like "Let It Go." And it'll come as no surprise to learn that the album's final track, the gentle, crepuscular "Beautiful Day," is a dead ringer for a Jack Johnson song.
