Album Description

Though Early Classics features some of the Jackson 5's biggest hits, plus four early Michael Jackson solo tracks, the compilation misses out on a few too many great songs to qualify even as an average pick. The only major hits from the Jackson 5 are "I Want You Back," "Never Can Say Goodbye," and "Lookin' Through the Windows," included along with early tracks like "Can You Remember," "Who's Lovin' You," and "True Love Can Be Beautiful." Then too, the only big solo hit here is "Rockin' Robin," so Early Classics comes up short on both fronts. Given the fact that everything here comes from 1972 or before, however, it could've been much worse. ~ John Bush
