Album Review

REMASTERED REISSUE - Now Available Again! Remastered by Don Dixon himself, with original artwork and original (correct) album sequencing restored - this is the first edition of this album that Dixon has personally overseen. First released in 1986, Don Dixon's debut solo album, Most Of The Girls Like To Dance But Only Some Of the Boys Like To, included several years worth of vault raiding - songs were recorded between 1981 and 1985. With Most Of The Girls, Dixon established himself as more than just an American rock cult figure. The single Praying Mantis was a hit at AOR radio and made the top ten on the college radio charts, and gave Dixon (a longtime Chapel Hill resident who now lives with his wife, singer Marti Jones, in Canton, Ohio) the credibility as an artist that he had already established as a producer. Dixon has produced or co-produced (often with Winston-Salem native Mitch Easter, of Let's Active) key recordings by R.E.M., Pylon, Fetchin' Bones, The Smithereens, Beat Rodeo, Pressure Boys, Guada
