According to author Johnny Rogan, after Morrissey learned about the contents of this controversial biography, he became so outraged that he called for Rogan's death. Rogan asserts that this book, which describes personal and professional problems between Morrissey and Marr, the principle members of the Smiths, is based on facts, and truthfully describes the Smiths' breakup. Rogan details Marr's drinking, Morrissey's reactions to the endless speculations about his sexual orientation, and Marr's decision to interrupt a Smiths' recording session to record with Talking Heads.
