The cantankerous hillbilly protagonist for an endless series of prank phone calls, Roy D. Mercer is a character invented by Oklahoma radio announcers Phil Stone and Brent Douglas. After gaining popularity on the duo's radio show, the Mercer character has graduated to his own comedy albums, and MORE GREATEST FITS offers a new slew of his shenanigans. Tackling subjects from the sublime ("Love Birds") to the profane ("Bad Gas"), this compilation finds Stone and Douglas trafficking in stereotypes and bathroom humor, but clearly having a good-natured, giggle-inducing time while doing so.
