Personnel: W.R. Bud Thornton (vocals, drums, background vocals); J.D. Andrew (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, background vocals); Mike Butler (electric guitar, lap steel guitar, dobro).

Although he doesn't like to talk about it, if an infamous 2009 interview with CBC Radio is to be believed, the Boxmasters are known primarily because of bandleader Billy Bob Thornton's successful acting career. The two-CD, 24-track MODBILLY is the trio's second album, and its loose, genial brand of country-rock remains largely unchanged from their 2008 debut.
