On 2007's MISSION CALIFORNIA, the Oklahoma-based roots-rock act Cross Canadian Ragweed offers up another top-notch country-tinged set. Fronted by singer/guitarist Cody Canada, the quartet excels at good-natured, if slightly mischievous, rock (see the rebellious "Record Exec"), tempering its edge on some tunes with the background vocals of Lee Ann Womack, most notably the stomping single "I Believe You."
