Canibus is well known in the hip-hop world for his no-nonsense approach and hard-hitting rhymes, and on 2005's MIND CONTROL the New Jersey-based rapper delivers the goods once again. There was some speculation among fans that the work on MIND CONTROL was a stop-gap collection bringing together older Canibus recordings, and that the material wasn't quite up to the snuff of cutting-edge albums like 2000 B.C. and RIP THE JACKER. Yet Canibus's in-your-face style is enough to buoy nearly any track, making MIND CONTROL yet another slice of edgy, East Coast hip-hop from this talented M.C.
