On its self-titled 2008 debut, Midnight to Twelve presents a well-honed set of post-grunge tunes. Clearly inhabiting the same territory as Nickelback and 3 Doors Down, the Los Angeles-based quintet, fronted by powerhouse singer Jon Hartman, gilds its rock anthems with notable keyboard sheen, as best exemplified by the pensive "Slam" and the hard-driving "How Bad."
