The latest installment in Azuli's tasteful series of DJ mixes finds them traveling to Miami to spotlight the music highlights of the Winter Music Conference, the annual gathering of record execs, DJs, producers, hipsters, hanger-ons, would-bes, wanna-bes, and fans of the dance music world. There are several styles represented ably here: the relaxing deep house grooves of Kerri Chandler make way for the stylish Euro-disco of Todd Terje and the minimal house of Tiefschwartz. The mix climaxes with two singles that were in seemingly every DJ's record box last year: Ame's "Rej" and the epic Carl Craig rework of Theo Parrish's otherwise downtempo "Falling Up." Not exactly the strongest mix available, but far superior to the endless stream of bargain-basement mix CDs on the market today. ~ Rob Theakston
