Title Note

Multi-talented chanteuse Janelle Mon e was signed to Bad Boy after a series of scene-stealing guest appearances on Outkast's IDLEWILD and Big Boi's GOT PURP? mixtape series. Her debut EP, METROPOLIS: THE CHASE SUITE, was one of the more hotly anticipated R&B releases of 2008 and boasts the same stylistic adventurousness and mind boggling eclecticism characteristic of fellow Atlanta artists like Outkast and TLC. Over the course of this short set, Janelle demonstrates mastery of a myriad of styles, from the new-wave-inflected pop of "Many Moons" to the horn-drenched retro-soul of "Mr. President".
