Title Note

The eccentric Brooklyn folk collective Akron/Family's second album is an often baffling mix of ecstatic chants, groovy instrumental histrionics, strangely compelling found sounds, and simple religious tunes. Whether the quartet is really devout or just likes the melodies of songs like "Love and Space" is unknown, but the overall effect is often beautiful and sometimes quite moving.
