Title Note

On 2005's MEANS TO AN END, New York City's Biohazard returns to a stripped-down sound; there's no army of guest stars here (a la 2001's UNCIVILIZATION), just the veteran quartet and its straight-up, pummeling hardcore-metal. As always, socially conscious lyrics (the anti-war "Killing to Be Free") mix with themes of self-doubt and inner turmoil (the angst-ridden "The Fire Burns Inside"), and the emotional punch of these topics is hit home by the shouted vocals of bassist Evan Seinfeld and guitarist Billy Graziadei. Fifteen years after its self-titled debut album, Biohazard still sounds as vital and angry as ever, and longtime fans will undoubtedly be pleased with MEANS TO AN END.
