The black-and-white TV series MCHALE'S NAVY was a military sitcom set during the battle in the Pacific during World War II. The principle cast all play characters who serve on PT-73, a military boat moored on the island of Taratupa. The crew, led by Lt. Commander Quinton McHale (Ernest Borgnine), spend their days doing anything but getting involved in the war as they quickly settle on the island and take advantages of all its pleasures. The strong supporting cast includes appearances by Tim Conway (THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW) and Gavin McLeod (THE LOVE BOAT). A selection of episodes from the first season of the show are included on this collection.
