Title Note

Producers include: Pat Dillett, Jerry Harrison, Nicholas Sansano, Klas Ahlund, Paul Ebersold.

"Boss Of Me" won the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Song Written For A Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media.

Like the TV show it's pulled from, the music on this collection is clever, upbeat and smart-alecky. They Might Be Giants set the quirky tone with their choppy, ska-flavored "Boss of Me" and the cleverly sublime "Older." From here, plenty of power-pop moments abound, from Stroke 9's punky "Washin' + Wonderin'," to Barenaked Ladies' irresistibly catchy "Falling for the First Time."

Other notable names checking in are Eagle-Eye Cherry (the sweetly dream-like "Been Here Once Before"), Travis (the Beatles-esque absurdity "We Are Monkeys"), and Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies (a hellacious cover of Dr. John's "Right Place, Wrong Time"). Elsewhere, pop oddities include OPM's loping skate-anthem "Heaven Is a Halfpipe," the mid-'90s novelty dance version of "Cotton Eye Joe" by Sweden's Rednex, and the Baha Men's "You All Dat" (which samples the Tokens' "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"). Wrapping it all up is "I Don't Care," a dialogue snippet medley by our favorite sound architects the Dust Brothers.
