The debut album by ex-North Mississippi Allstar Cody Dickinson and his new outfit with buddy Garry Burnside (the youngest of the late R.L. Burnside's 14 children), MAKE A MOVE is a juked-up marriage of primal electric blues and bar-band boogie stomp. Taut, electric, and hard-rocking, this is not purist electric blues, but gutbucket rock & roll with a strong blues influence. Highlights include "Dirty Shirt" and "Alice Mae."
