Title Note

This is the first album by the DJ/producer the Bedroom Wizard, following up on the 2000 single "Wanna-Be" featuring Ra-God and Jon Notty. The compilation also features the MCs Supafriendz and Mad Skillz. This is a pretty tight album, with solid production, mixing, and cast, but falls way short in the quantity department. At nine songs and one intro, it clocks in at about 36 minutes. Short albums are obviously a popular way to fail in the retail department, it's just hard to sell half-loafs of bread with their full-sized counterparts beside them at the same price. Hopefully more artists and DJs will learn by example because half an album just doesn't cut it anymore. For the hardcore underground rap collectors, this album is a good addition, but for the average hip-hop listener there are simply plenty of longer options. ~ Brad Mills
