Prudence Fish Hornby, age nine and a half, is having a hard time. Since the death of her Gran and the divorce of her parents, Prudy finds life lonely, sad, and dull. Nothing interesting happens on Durham Street or at school or at home anymore. The day comes when Prudy can't stand the blahness of her life and she decides to take Drastic Action.
