Recording information: 1977 - 1978.

Released in 2006, this Wire collection presents the lauded U.K. art-rock band in two separate concerts, one at London's Roxy club in 1977, and another at New York City's iconic CBGB venue the following year. As these blistering performances make clear, Wire was already keen on putting the "post" in front of "punk," with frontman Colin Newman leading the group through fierce, yet undeniably inventive, tunes such as "12XU," "Lowdown," and "Dot Dash."
