Title Note

America is loaded with fine performers who are established regionally but have yet to "break out" nationally. One such is Chicago blues singer/harmonica player Little Arthur Duncan. As of LIVE AT ROSA'S LOUNGE, Duncan had entered his 73rd year and showed no signs of lethargy. His specialty is, of course, Chicago blues, though he leans a bit toward the slightly more melody-oriented, upbeat style of Jimmy Reed and J.B. Lenoir (and non-Chicago cats like Slim Harpo). Caught live with his regular band, the Backscratchers, Duncan unleashes a cheerful, near-perfect storm with his hearty harmonica and vocals.
