For countless records and the better part of three decades, Beausoleil and its creative force, Michael Doucet, have defined Cajun music--he simply has no equal among his contemporaries. This fine collection finds Doucet and company returning to a post-Katrina Louisiana for some live good times. The hurricane hangs over the proceedings, as evidenced by minor-key stomps like "L'Ouragon (The Hurricane)" and "Newz Reel," but the band's undeniable musicianship and irrepressible energy keep the music's spirit of hope and renewal at the forefront.
