Released in the ECM label in late 2008, this concert recording finds renowned Norwegian jazz bassist Arild Andersen performing with Italian drummer Paolo Vinaccia and Scotish saxophonist Tommy Smith. Much of the outing consists of the multi-part "Independency" suite, which features each member of the trio in a beautifully subdued, minimalist mode.
