CBGB may be gone, but through the CBGB OMFUG MASTERS series of soundboard recordings, it's hardly forgotten. This 2005 show, featuring stalwart funk-metal combo Living Colour, is a testament to the thrilling performances that the famously grimy club was able to pull out of the bands that played there. Opening with "Type" (from 1993's STAIN) and featuring the hits "Glamour Boys" and "Cult of Personality," Living Colour scan the best from their entire discography. The sound is crisp, with audience and interband noise taking the listener directly to the action, as Vernon Reid lays down sizzling guitars and Corey Glover flexes his voice.
