Title Note

With SERENITY, composer and synthesizer magician Chuck Wild (a.k.a. Liquid Mind) offers up another album tailor-made for deep, peaceful relaxation. Wild's approach to sound is minimal in terms of composition--the music here is built mostly on sustained, overlapping chords--but what the music lacks in structural complexity it more than makes up for in texture and feeling.

Ghostly and spare, yet warm and inviting, Wild generates orchestral sounds with his synthesizer, complete with celestial phrases and deep, resonant bass. It is difficult to resist the lure of these lush, pillowy compositions, and the listener is readily swept away on clouds of music. As with Wild's other solo recordings, SERENITY is perfectly suited for enhancing home environments, or as a musical accompaniment to the practices of yoga, meditation, and the healing arts.
