Synopsis

The misadventures, insights, romances and crises of three generations of a family of actors, as they all come together to put on their annual summer play. Adding chaos to the mix is Oona, a beautiful Hollywood starlet who's at a crossroads in her life. Her sudden appearance at the estate seems to have a jarring effect on everyone involved...

This was actress Viveca Lindfors' final film. She died only a few weeks after finishing this movie, at the age of 74. Kristoffer Tabori, who is one of Lindfors' real-life sons, plays one of her sons in the movie.

The film marked the acting debut of playwright Jon Robin Baitz.

Henry Jaglom and Victoria Foyt are husband and wife.

Nick Gregory is the son of Andre Gregory.
