Album Description

Experimental rock outfit His Name Is Alive had been making music for over 10 years by the time 2002's LAST NIGHT appeared, sounding like a culmination of their beautifully crafted dream pop, albeit with an earthy, soulful bent. In fact, the album bears the deep influence of gospel, soul, jazz, funk, and R&B, from the intricate, pulsing arrangements to the cool vocals of singer Lovetta Pippen. Naturally, the sound is still dominated by the delicate, ethereal feel associated with His Name is Alive, making for an aurally seductive set filled with fine songs.
