Product note

Recorded live at the Toronto Rock 'N' Roll Festival, Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1969.
Back in 1969, The Alice Cooper Band had yet to break through to the big time. The band had recently released its debut for Frank Zappa's Bizarre label, PRETTIES FOR YOU, which was a blend of psychedelia and acid rock and resembled little of the outfit's macabre heavy metal of the '70s. A month after the original Woodstock festival, another rock festival was being organized in Canada, the Toronto Rock & Roll Revival. The bill included big names like John Lennon and Yoko Ono, The Doors, Bo Diddley, and Chuck Berry, plus newcomer Alice Cooper.
The complete concert was recorded, and in the '80s, Cooper's portion of the show was issued, under a slew of different names, FREAK OUT SONG, SNORTING ANTHRAX, and LADIES MAN, among others. Though the sound quality of this album is slightly tarnished, it is a relatively rare live document of Cooper in action. Recommended for the serious Alice Cooper fan.
