Title Note

Though Mexican pop stars Grupo Bryndis are often lumped in with their Norteno and Conjunto contemporaries, they're a much more syncretic outfit, handily assimilating mainstream pop into their Mexican roots. The two-disc anthology LA MEJOR...COLLECCION collects 30 of their most popular tracks on two discs. While much of the accompaniment is provided by synthesizers, the arrangements are still based around Mexican stylistic templates, creating a bridge between past and present that has made Grupo Bryndis one of the most successful bands in Mexican music.
