Since 1998, Southern California's vibe has been a little bit greener thanks to the stoned antics of heavy metal/hip-hop outfit Kottonmouth Kings. They're like the Insane Clown Posse of potheads, with a fan base that's just slightly less fervent than the Juggalo Army (though that may have something to do with the quantity and quality of weed they smoke). KOAST II KOAST finds the boys back in fine form, producing more of what their constituency has come to expect--"Bong Toke," "Irie Feelin," and "Fat Sack" being prime examples of those very expectations. And with tighter flows and a stronger concentration on the music than on previous efforts, one could almost refer to KOAST II KOAST as the record where the Kings actually earn their place on the throne.
