Walsch, who eventually went on to pen sequels, built an industry based on what he was able to learn from his personal dialogue with the divine spirit. Narrated by actors Ed Asner and Ellen Burstyn, the pieces contain sound bytes from Walsch's writings cushioned within dramatic sound design by Gerald Brunskill. The classic New-Age synthesizer and keyboard pieces range from delicate piano melodies to booming Gregorian-style chants. With the actors' voices pleasantly manipulated and finely edited into the instrumental sections, the interplay between word and music makes for a surprisingly powerful and moving experience.
