Bela Fleck and the Flecktones have been around for many years- the group originally formed in 1988. Their songs are largely instrumental, and cover a huge variety of styles and genres from bluegrass to jazz to fusion, with flute, banjo, guitar, and many other various instruments. What makes this album such a great christmas album is the variation with which each traditional and popular song is interpreted. Bela and the Flecktones bring fresh new sounds to songs youve heard a million times. Its quirky, jazzy, and lots of fun. Highly recommended!
