Legendary rock guitarist Randy Bachman (Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive) is back with a fresh collection of blues- and jazz-based compositions, and this time, he's brought some friends. Using the moniker New Guitar Summit, JAZZTHING 2 spotlights classy guitar work by Bachman, as well as renowned guitarists J. Geils, Duke Robillard, and Gerry Beaudoin. The quartet seamlessly weaves through a series of smooth yet intricate tracks, from jazz classics like Jimmy McHugh's "Exactly Like You" to Bachman originals. JAZZTHING 2 closes with a stripped down, bluesy version of the BTO classic "Taking Care of Business."
