The Soulsavers Artist Snapshot:

British downtempo electronica duo with rock, gospel, and country influences formed by producers-remixers Rich Machin and Ian Glover. After a series of well-received 7" EPs, the pair released their first album in 2003, TOUGH GUYS DON'T DANCE. Their second album, IT'S NOT HOW FAR YOU FALL, IT'S THE WAY YOU LAND, appeared in 2007, featuring vocals from Mark Lanegan and a cameo by Will Oldham. The LP drew beaucoup kudos from the underground press and confirmed the band's status as one of the more intriguing in the aughts electronic landscape.

CMJ (p.12) - "Complementing the reverent, post-apocalyptic sonic environment, Lanegan sings as if he's standing at the door of deliverance, bottle in tow..."
Q (Magazine) (p.78) - Ranked #31 in Q's "The 50 Best Albums Of 2007" -- "[With] an authentic atmosphere of nocturnal menace."
