Although gospel singer DeWayne Woods began performing with various ensembles in the 1980s, the Chicago-based artist didn't unveil his own major-label debut until 2006. For ardent fans of contemporary gospel, the album, which features Woods's vocal group, When Singers Meet, was worth the wait, given his compelling, R&B-rooted songs, most notably the gently reassuring "Let Go," a track that builds to a wonderfully uplifting finale.
