"The mixture of traditional medical thriller and historical thriller is provocative, and, as usual, the inventive story should keep Cook's fans turning the pages."

2 out of 5 stars Dr. Cooks new book disappoints!!, October 5, 2009
By Scubablt
Wow! What happened to dr. Cook? I love his books, have read almost of them, ab and couldnt wait for Intervention to come out. But I was shocked to how poorly it is! I paid $20 for it on eReader, and I want a refund!! It was pathetic the way he tried to combine 2 stories that had no real connection. As a Christian church pastor I enjoyed t a degree the religious theme, but why the story line about the alternative medicine, too? The two did not mix well. I will probably read the next book Cook writes, but I am terribly disappointed in this one. A real bore with no passion to make me want to sit down and read it all. I hope he gets back to the style we have all come to love in his next book.
