Master of the Spanish guitar Lawson Rollins cannily imbues his instrumentals with a host of global influences including ragas, bossa nova, flamenco, and a variety of Middle Eastern flavors. Yet the distinctive nylon-string sound and super-slick production unifies the songs into a cohesive whole, much like the work he did with partner Dan Young in Young & Rollins. Guest stars Flora Purim and Airto Moreira lend additional credibility to his third studio outing.
