Title Note

A year after its online release, Saul Williams's third LP appears in physical form on Fader Label. Produced by Trent Reznor, THE INEVITABLE RISE & LIBERATION OF NIGGY TARDUST sees the noted slam poet and MC extraordinaire laying his frantic street poetry over markedly industrial beatscapes. Comfortably far-removed from garden variety indie hip-hop, most songs on NIGGY TARDUST are built on frenetic drum tracks, blaring keyboards, distorted synthesizers, and jarring guitar lines. Still, there's more than enough room for a relaxed dub track ("Scared Money"), recognizable rap samples (courtesy of Public Enemy on "Tr(n)igger"), and even a noisy U2 cover ("Sunday Bloody Sunday").
