Title Note

Nightmares On Wax has always offered a fresh take on the trip-hop formula, and their latest effort, IN A SPACE OUTTA SOUND, does not disappoint. Taking their cues from the authentic sound of Jamaican sound systems, the music bears the dusty imprint of rare dub plates--pressure drop sonics and gobs of bass. Like the best of this genre, the devil appears in the details. Cavernous break beats--no doubt sourced from vintage vinyl--and a dusty Rhodes piano lend an unmistakably vintage sheen. But the modern production touches take this dub excursion thoroughly into the 21st century.
