"Flugelin' The Blues" did not appear on the original LP release of IN ORBIT. It was recorded at the same sessions for inclusion on the Riverside label anthology NEW BLUE HORNS.

Clark Terry Quartet: Clark Terry (flugelhorn); Thelonious Monk (piano); Sam Jones (bass); Philly Joe Jones (drums).

Recorded at Reeves Sound Studios, New York, New York on May 7 & 12, 1958. Originally released on Riverside (271). Includes liner notes by Orrin Keepnews.

Digitally remastered by Phil De Lancie (1987, Fantasy Studios, Berkeley, California).
