Theodore Bikel has captivated audiences for decades with his masterly portrayals of such classic stage characters as Zorba the Greek and Tevye from FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. On this 2006 release, he lends his rich voice to 12 songs from classic musicals. Bikel's covers range from the slightly obscure ("In My Own Lifetime" from THE ROTHSCHILDS) to canon numbers like "Edelweiss," "If I Were a Rich Man," and "September Song." The collection was produced by acclaimed Jewish music preservationist Craig Taubman.
