Sixteen-year-old Carley enjoys her work as a hospital volunteer--especially after she begins assisting handsome 17-year-old Kyle Westin who was blinded, perhaps temporarily, when a chemistry experiment exploded. As time passes, Carley and Kyle become true friends and Carley's feeling start to turn romantic. However, she fears that if Kyle regains his sight he won't like her anymore because she has a facial deformity. Will Kyle regain his eyesight, and if he does, will he still care for Carley?
