The second volume of Blanco y Negro Spain's I Love Disco Summer series isn't much different from any volume of the same label's extensive I Love Disco Diamonds series. Serving up two discs of Euro-dance singles released mostly during the '80s and '90s -- encompassing Italo-disco, Hi-NRG, freestyle, house, synth-pop, and most other forms of dance-pop -- the label puts a spotlight on Camaro's Gang "Ali Shuffle," Cruisin' Gang's "On the Beach Tonight," Dr. Felix & M.M. Band's "Self Control Rap," Silver Pozzoli's "From You to Me," Chris Luis' "The Heart of the City," and Gary Low's "You Are a Danger." If you think of your collection as more of an archive than anything else, seek these discs out; only a couple tracks have more than novelty value. ~ Andy Kellman
